Royal Caribbean? That's what we're on. Radiance of the Seas.
No we are on ncl but the same stops as yours. We have done these particular stops on 2 previous cruises.  You should enjoy it

This couple plan to return to the US after their dream life in France became a ‘nightmare’ | CNN

Suffice it say, I think these folks are kooks.  She couldn't find decent produce?  She's an idiot.

I've been to Roatan, Belize, and Cozumel before. Costa Maya is a new one for me. I'm pretty excited about the pyramids.

As for my final life's travel, I expect it to be my cremated remains, spread with my wife's, either in the rose garden where we got married in Italy, or at the top of Haleakala... Unless we come up with something better in the [hopefully] many decades before it is a thing.

The last thing I want to do is have my corpse take up valuable real estate.
Tough to come up with better options. What part of Italy?

Florence.

I kinda wanted to do it in the Cinque Terre, but it was offseason there and it just seemed like it was going to be impossible. So we did it on our last day in Italy (going Rome->Cinque Terre->Florence) and then honeymooned in Paris.

I used to not care at all what becomes of my physical remains. After a family member passed away that changed. It's not that I care what becomes of what's left of me--I don't (cremate and dispose)--but I do want my family to have somewhere to go that they associate with me. How's this for a sick thought: it's a little like returning to Camp Randall in the fall. I'm perfectly happy watching the Badgers on TV (or not), but there is a set of emotions that go with being there--and it being a place people want to be, or at least want a reason to return to.

So this family member of mine had her name added to a "family" plot in a city that most of us will never have a reason to return to. And it's a distant branch of the family to which I feel like we have tenuous connections. Why? Who will ever go there and remember her and how she was a part of our lives? I would like my family to see my name somewhere and think about who I was and what role I had in their lives. But I don't want to take up a lot of space, because in two to three generations, I won't have any lasting legacy, nothing more than a soundbyte and not one that has much real meaning. I'm fine with that, but in the meantime, I want my kids, potential grandkids, and maybe even great grandkids to think about me.

So I guess I really do care. I want my name on a marker of some kind, but it can be rather insignificant, alongside my wife's name, somewhere relatively close to the city my wife and I live in. And I'd like a bit of my ashes sprinkled in the Emmigrant Wilderness in the Stanislaus National Forest in California.

I have a hard time with cemeteries, and funerals.  I attended a few when I was a kid, grandparents.  I didn't really get it.  Now that folks "close to me" are passing on, it has reminders I often have to put in a drawer to function.  I sat by my brother in law's flag draped coffin and just cried.

He was a very fine fellow.  But the reminder was stark.

My wife thinks I should tell me kids to do something, and I think she's correct.

Places I've been where I'd like to return someday:

Glacier NP - We were there but it was cloudy and the GTTS road was not open.

Zion NP - I really like that place.

Mauna Kea - Been up twice, the second time was snowy/cloudy.  The first time was epic.

Lyon, France - Been thrice, I like the place.

Bayeux, France - Stayed there three nights, really an interesting area for me.

Beartooth Pass road.

Athens, Greece.

Guardsmans Pass - Utah, in fall.

Zion shuts down the shuttle service in December, and you can just drive your car right up to the narrows and park.

Great list. Zion and Glacier are two of the more spectacular places I've been. I'm partial to Haleakala over the Big Island's volcanos, but they are all grand.

That's awesome.. Certainly worse things in life. I've been to so many places in the world.. yet never Europe.. blows my mind at this point. Italy is near the top of that bucket list desire.

I'd personally like to relive our honeymoon. O'ahu, then Kauai, Big Island, back to O'Ahu. 17 days enjoying the beauty and uniqueness of Hawaii with some crazy incredible adventures.
