This is the Jordan River, where Jesus is claimed to have been baptized, it of course had a large gift shop:

These are all from my phone, I have a zillion more still in my main camera.  My wife has a new iPhone 14 that takes incredible photos, I'm thinking of ditching the Nikon.  This is the Acropolis (which means edge of the city apparently):

A view of Athens from on top:

My wife often laughs (?) at how often I drag her to a military museum, and Athens was no different.  She was obliging, and the museum is quite well done I thought, and "free".

I'd rather cruise from Anchorage to Acapulco thru the Panama canal and then from Belize to Nova Scotia

Many stops along the way

maybe July to July

New Zealand would be my destination
They won't let me give blood anymore. The burnt orange color scares the hell out of the doctors.

We're looking at a cruise out of Tokyo that includes South Korea.  Our idea is to spot check cities you probably wouldn't see otherwise and think whether you might return for a longer visit later.  We signed up for a cruise in October that is Scotland/Ireland/England in October.

NCL offers air fare for two for only $1,100 (for both), but it's in the back.  My wife got exit row seats coming back from Istanbul which helped a lot.  And in other news, we're Gold now not that it means much, about to be Platinum.
