Yep, I love pretty much all blue cheese varietals. One of the best ways to eat it (other than by itself) is to top a filet mignon, on top of a perfectly cooked beet.

I make a sauce with the cheese, cream, cracked pepper and finely grated garlic and shallots.

Plate the beet, top it with the meat, and then the sauce.

This might happen tomorrow. No. It WILL happen tomorrow.

Quick trip to Mass to visit family and friends.  Nothing exciting.

I had to get back for a football game, the wife is staying through the weekend.  I figure I will probably own a house in Maine when she gets back

Spent most of week in Ponte Vedra (Jax) for business.    Lovely resort and club.   Service as  good as any place I've stayed.   One of those places where's there's no trash can and everything magically vanishes in moments.

Still not a FL person.

We stayed at Sawgrass Marriott on a spontaneous weekend trip and liked the area.

The drive from there to St Augustine through Guana River Wildlife Management Area and the Matanzas National Research Reserve is absolutely beautiful.  One of the best kept secrets in Florida, and the entire east coast.

My wife booked a tiny room in St. Germain at $700 per night… three nights.  Had mediocre meal with truly horrible service $153.  Not really happy.  Dawgs won …

Yes, it is. And I don't own anything, she didn't find anything she liked.
