Michigan State was flat out impressive today.
Did you watch the Game HB?Saw most of the 4th and it was a comedy of errors(both sides) but a blast to watch

My power rankings are wack
I just posted a thread for new Power Rankings and was thinking the same thing.  MSU was formerly our obviously worst team while NU was King of the West and a concensus #2. One of the Michigan fans even voted them #1, LoL.

Now what?

I'm thinking treat the UW/NU result as due to UW being shorthanded and move the Badgers back to #2 but there are about a half a dozen teams with a case for #3.

Northwestern is quite not good.  If not for a couple phantom drive extending penalties, it wouldn't have been as close as 29-20.  Iowa and Indiana are both VASTLY better.

Wow has Purdue fallen fast.

At 2-0 they were in serious contention for a CG appearance. Now they are 2-3 and staring 2-5 in the face.

With the NU loss, tOSU is now the B1G's only CFP contender and if they have to miss a third game (MSU) then even going undefeated might not get them in as only a 6-0 non-champion.

Not sure who benefits most from that.

The Spartans were physical, got there running game going, shut down the northwestern running game, got pressure on the northwestern quarterback, and made plays when they had to down the stretch. Yes I’m not saying our playoff contender but if you think back to the Michigan State glory days of just a few years ago this team looked more like that than they have in a while.

Isaiah Spiller lighting it up for Texas A&M's offense Vs LSU. 106 first half yards rushing, Aggies up 10-0.

Pelini's defense hasn't sucked, yet

the LSU offense has sucked absolutely

This was probably MSUs best game since the Northwestern game last year.  That said, the Wildcats are also not good.

I think that was part of the PSU sanctions. She did damn near every one of their games during the BOB era.

Ole "Big Game" Mel.

He can beat Michigan and can knock off Top 10 opponents.

But then Rutgers, Iowa and Indiana just take him behind the woodshed.
