Did McCaffery quit because these guys were better or he just wanted to play under a different coach?
No. McCaffrey left because the starting job was literally handed to Harbaugh's pet-project Milton. McCaffrey got sick, missed a few weeks, came back and was told the job was Milton's and he's the back-up. McCaffrey knew he was better than Milton- EVERYONE with a set of eye balls knew McCaffrey is LIGHT YEARS better than Milton- and McCaffrey knew it was a freaking joke that Milton was handed the job- so he left. Smart kid. He is too good to be playing for an offensively challenged moron like Jim Harbaugh.

So the B1G West's best team is no match for the B1G East's worst team?

Hmm... Interesting...

Penn State's OL manhandled Michigan's DL on that last scoring drive. A 12 play, 75 yard, 5 minute touchdown drive and the Wolverine's front seven couldn't get a single push into Penn State's backfield. NOW I see why everybody is ripping Don Brown. 27-17 Penn State up.
Penn State is also playing like their 4th and 5th string RB's and run for like 300 yards. Michigan's defense is worse than a joke. I don't even know what it is.

Phantom call keeps Northwestern drive alive.  Both lines playing better for MSU than they have all year

I wonder if Charbonnet transfers.
He'd be crazy not too transfer. He is too talented for this shit. He should go somewhere with a functional offense with a legitimate offensive coaching staff.

Michigan: where 5* and high 4* offensive skill players go to die. Charbonnet was just a 11 spots away from OMG FIVE STARZ status in the 247Composite. He was a big deal recruit out of Cali who dominated some of the toughest high school competition in the entire US.

Wildcats only get 3 from the gift, hopefully it doesn't matter.

One of my biggest theories is if your offense sucks, you should Chuck it downfield more. It's better to go three and out going deep than three and out throwing slants.
This. All damn day. Harbaugh is a moron though that loves to do the latter.

They were shut down for a couple weeks for case numbers during preseason camp.  With no spring, these past two weeks due to the cancellation may have been the longest consecutive practice time this staff has had.

The analytics say the same.  It leads to a worse viewable product, much like jacking bad threes in basketball, and swinging for the fences in baseball, but the numbers say it's smart.

It is smart. It keeps DB's from cheating up to the LOS and there's always the very good chance you'll get some PI calls thrown your way. And if you throw a pick deep- it's just like a punt. Just make sure you don't let them return it for 6 if you do wind up throwing a pick.
