Welp, no Ohio State today. I guess I'm looking forward to the mega Michigan Penn State game. Also cooking Thanksgiving food today. Trying to solve the Rubik's cube of how I will bake like 6 dishes and everything be ready at the same time. Into the breach I go...

So what's on tap today?

Noon gives us not just Michigan-PSU, but also Indiana-Maryland.  If OSU gets bounced out of the title game, the winner of this game could be your B1G East rep.  The 3:30 slot gives us Pitt-Clemson and the Iron Bowl, both of which have a bit of upset juice in them.  The evening slate not worth a lot.

Progress report. I've peeled the sweet potatoes. They are sitting in hot water, the theory being they get sweeter that way. I don't really love sweet potatoes, so not sure if that's hogwash or not.

That's why I don't do most of the cooking - but I don't complain either,unless it's grits or okra

Check with Test Kitchen or Alrton Brown or the guy from Serious Eats

Well it does help remove starches.  If you were to fry them, this would be a must step.  Don't know if it enhances sweetness.

It was Serious Eats that recommended it. Not being someone who eats a lot of sweet potatoes, not sure whether I'll notice.

In any event getting the gravy together.

For dinner, I'm planning on a melange of cut up chicken breasts with onions, mushrooms, garlic, green onions added late, and a LOT of curry powder.

Curry is a variety of dishes originating in the Indian subcontinent that use a complex combination of spices or herbs, usually including ground turmericcumincorianderginger, and fresh or dried chilies. In southern India, where the word originated, curry leaves, from the curry tree, are also an integral ingredient.[1] Curry is generally prepared in a sauce.[2]

Gonna spend most of the day putting up Christmas decorations.

But I'll take a break tonight to watch the ags-lsu game.

So if Ohio State has another game canceled it would eliminate them from the championship game?  Hmm.
A decade of Victory over Penn State.

All in since 1969

the timing of the positives makes it hard not to think that the MSU game could be played.  Albeit they could most likely win with a 60 man squad
