For those who like to say, "Pics or it didn't happen?" The Huskers have pics.

Tyreke Johnson, the former five-star defensive back from Ohio State who committed to the Nebraska program earlier this month, is getting busy in the Husker weight room along with his new teammates.

The Huskers made it social media official, one could say, by including him in photos along with newcomers like fellow defensive back Malik Williams, and wide receivers Latrell Neville and Kamonte Grimes.

The Illinois Fighting Illini football program has taken some massive hits in the last 24 hours. Redshirt freshman offensive lineman Blaise Sparks entered his name into the NCAA Transfer Portal on Tuesday morning, becoming the sixth Illinois player to hit the portal in the last 24 hours.

Sparks followed offensive lineman Brevyn Jones, defensive lineman Anthony Shipton, wide receiver James Frenchie, defensive lineman Tre'von Riggins and running back/wide receiver Kyron Cumby as Illinois players to hit the portal. All players were three-star prospects in the class.

Per Jeremy Werner of Illini Inquirer on the 247Sports network, Bielema pointed out that no players had asked to transfer after spring football concluded. But now that more time has passed since the end of spring ball, things have changed. Players have until this Thursday, July 1, to hit the portal and receive immediate eligibility this year.

Nebraska's football team added another transfer wide receiver to its program this summer.

A NU official confirmed Tuesday morning former Northern Arizona receiver Chancellor Brewington has joined the Huskers' program.

The 6-foot-3, 185-pound Brewington, a three-star recruit in the 2017 class, is a fifth-year junior. He caught 31 passes for 396 yards and two touchdowns as a true freshman, then caught 23 passes for 246 yards and a TD in 2018. He redshirted in 2019 because of an injury. NAU didn't play in fall 2020 because of COVID restrictions. Brewington then missed the 2021 season, according to his Northern Arizona bio, because of an injury.

Brewington is a former high school teammate of current Husker Javin Wright. Both attended Chandler (Arizona) Hamilton High School.

He sounds like a villain from an 80s college comedy

The Huskers have also added Kyan Brumfield to the program as a walk-on defensive back, an NU official confirmed.

The 6-foot, 185-pound Brumfield was previously at Texas Tech, where he appeared in six games last year, mostly on special teams. Prior to that he was at Colgate, where he played in 17 games and earned his undergraduate degree in just three years, allowing him to join the Red Raiders last year as a grad transfer.

Originally from San Antonio, Texas, Brumfield is now a redshirt junior.

Florida State redshirt freshman quarterback Chubba Purdy has entered the NCAA Transfer Portal, multiple sources indicate. Purdy was not present at FSU's two most recent practices. He shared a message via a tweet after news of his entering the transfer portal became public.

"I want to thank the Seminole fans and Florida State community for all their support during my time at Florida State," Purdy wrote. "After careful consideration and a discussion with my family I will be moving on towards new beginnings. With that said I will be entering the transfer portal. Thank you and God Bless."

Texas wide receiver Joshua Moore is no longer with the team and has entered the transfer portal, coach Steve Sarkisian said Monday during a news conference.

According to multiple reports, Sarkisian and Moore had a heated confrontation that also involved more of the coaching staff Wednesday during practice.

Moore was excellent...

...at dropping easy, perfectly targeted, wide open, uncontested passes.
