ILB Malik Reed has entered the portal. He was a top target for 2020 but now wants to be closer to home.

Malik Reed enters NCAA transfer portal (247sports.com)

A few schools on this list would get him closer to home.

Reed chose UW over UCLA, Arizona, Nebraska, Colorado, Indiana, Washington State, and others.

One of Nebraska’s wide receivers entered the transfer portal on Saturday morning, as Demariyon Houston announced he was entering the transfer portal.

“I want to begin by saying thank you to the Nebraska football coaching staff for giving me the opportunity to play at a great school with rich traditions,” Houston posted to social media. “To my professors, thank you for providing me with a great educational opportunity. To the Husker friends, family and fans, thank you for always supporting me. Unfortunately things have not transpired how I intended, therefore I am now looking for a new place to call home and officially entering the Transfer Portal.”

The 6-foot, 185-pound Houston was part of Nebraska’s 2019 recruiting class, but never appeared in a game as a Husker. Because of Covid seasons, Houston will be a third-year redshirt freshman next season.

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- The Indiana Hoosiers are beefing up their roster with more veteran help.

Defensive lineman Jaren Handy has joined the program after playing 14 games with Auburn over the past two seasons, Indiana coach Tom Allen said Monday. On Sunday, former Southern California running back Stephen Carr tweeted that he would be joining the Hoosiers next season.

Both were considered top 100 recruits coming out of high school and both could make an immediate impact -- just like the other five transfers Allen has attracted since the end of last season, Indiana's best in decades.

Wow, I really liked him as a freshman.  He just never really progressed.

Louisville quarterback Luke McCaffrey is going back into the transfer portal.

The Nebraska transfer, who just recently arrived on campus after committing in February, is leaving the Cardinals coach Scott Satterfield said on the radio this morning with Drew Deener.

McCaffrey, the younger brother of Carolina Panthers running back Christian McCaffrey, was important depth at quarterback for a room that lacked it.

Idiot.
He thought he'd go there and start, despite UL's starting QB being the strength of the team.
