If the Vols don't find a pretty good coach to hire this time around, I mean someone they can stand to keep say 6-7 years ....

I attended one game there a few years back and was treated very well by their fans.  It was the game Chubb hurt his knee on the first play.  Seeing him come back has been gratifying.  And my mom graduated from there, a while back.  Not many women went to college back then.  She was born in 1920.

Did they do their 100,000 person public prayer?

another one enters the portal at Tennessee.

This time it's LB JJ Peterson. Peterson was a 4*, the #48 player overall, #3 OLB in the nation, and #7 player in the state of Georgia in the Class of 2018 according to the 247Composite.

Peterson announces his transfer portal intentions just hours after Tennessee's highest ranked 2020 signee- defensive back Key Lawrence- who was the #80 player in the nation and #6 safety according to the 247Composite- announces he will be transferring to Oklahoma.

One thing I should've seen coming from the portal but am impressed by is how much it makes the idea of a coach coming into a good situation a thing of the past. These rosters are getting rocked by changes.

He had Adrian Martinez sweating for the top job all of preseason camp, bolted onto the scene on Nebraska's third play of the season as Buckeyes chased him, and even started two games at quarterback for the Huskers. But whatever Luke McCaffrey does next at the position will apparently not be with the Big Red 'N' on his helmet.

The redshirt freshman quarterback who created headaches for defenses with his quick burst (364 yards rushing) but also experienced growing pains in the passing game (1 touchdown, 6 interceptions) is now in the transfer portal. Offensive lineman Will Farniok and wide receiver Kade Warner are expected to do the same.

In what has been a busy month of comings and goings with Nebraska football roster news, it slims the Husker quarterback scholarship count to three: junior Adrian Martinez, redshirt freshman Logan Smothers and incoming Heinrich Haarberg out of Kearney Catholic.

transfer portal has real possibility of ruining the sport. When Tom Brady didn't win the starting QB job at Michigan as a RS Soph in 1997 he was going to transfer back home to Cal. Brady's dad told him no. You're not a quitter, you aren't transferring back home- you made the decision to go there- stick it out.

As soon as players aren't starting year 1 they leave. It's insane.

Ed should have taught Luke how to throw instead of running routes for his older brother

48 - 76 for 466 yards with 1 TD vs 6 INTs

I wish the kid would stay, but he's not going to beat out Adrian with that arm

Here's what's going on in the world: A transfer portal was created to help facilitate the process of players leaving programs for other programs. A portal — tell me you don't love that word — needed to be created because players are leaving programs across the country in increasingly large numbers. The last I heard, there were more than 1,400 players in the portal, including 130 from Big Ten programs, or 9.3 per school.

Here's what else is going on in the world: The NCAA at some point is likely to enact a one-time transfer exception, meaning transferring student-athletes can play immediately at their new school. That'll only increase the number of departures.

By waiting for the spring semester to begin Monday before making his exit official, McCaffrey ensured he'll receive his full grant in aid, including a stipend of around $1,600 per month, even though he's not even in Lincoln. Frost will bite his tongue on that part. The McCaffrey family is royalty in American football. It probably would be unwise to make life difficult for them.
