I'm not convinced the additional info they are getting is necessarily correct though.  I'm fine with more player empowerment, but I think some of these changes are actually bad for them.  It's easy to recruit as the unknown against the known.
I would agree that can be an issue, but the flipside to that is shady recruiting stuff has been ongoing forever, and now coaches have to be more honest in what they pitch to guys because if they get caught lying, it's really easy for the player to move on.  How many guys have promised a kid they will play him at a certain position, or will get a chance to start, knowing they have no intention of honoring that promise to any realistic degree?

former 5* and Vols starting OT Wanya Morris enters the portal, will be transferring from Tennessee.

Will be interesting to see where he goes. He's a heckuva player. Tennessee just might have mass exodus of guys this off-season.

Nebraska added a commitment on Monday from the transfer portal as 2019 FCS Associated Press Third Team All-American Samori Toure chose the Huskers as his next stop, following a prolific career at Montana.

The good news attached to that he's also planning to arrive to campus in January and take part in winter conditioning and spring ball.

The 6-foot-3, 190-pound receiver had an outstanding junior season where he hauled in 82 receptions for 1,495 yards and scored 13 touchdowns. He also amassed 303 yards in a playoff game against Southeastern Louisiana, breaking a 23-year-old mark previously held by Marshall’s Randy Moss.

Tennessee coach on verge of getting fired and believe ncaa is snooping around them right now. A lot of players might be fleeing from there in short order.
