Pretty sure every non starter is in the portal now.  This is just the tally in the past month

Yeah, it's to the point that I've stopped trying to find out why.
The answer more and more often now is.....because.

I don't like this one. Not with ND on the schedule next season.

To a degree, I get why. I also get why they screw it up, which is interesting. In some ways, it's part of the growing up process we all have.

It's worth noting being in the portal does not equal leaving.  It just means more or less you can be recruited to leave, and I'm definitely in the more information is better than less camp for players.

ND has no experience coming back assuming Book is gone. I thought it was weird too until I looked at their depth chart.

I get that. I just don't like that UW is playing ND this year, and Coan knows the playbook inside and out.

Well UW got to see ND's offense vs Clemson/Bama and has that on film.Plus Liam Eichenberg the massive O-lineman from around these parts is leaving. So the Domers may be coming back to earth

That’s the beauty of Badger Football.  Everyone in the conference knows just about their whole damn playbook, but still can’t stop it LOL

Sure, as on overall idea, that's great.  But HCs yearn for buy-in.  And all these players are looking around at other possible places - that's not buy-in.

Huskers got that with Noah Vedral at Rutgers this fall

had to change the audible language and other things because I'm pretty sure Vedral knew the offense better than Martinez

I'm not convinced the additional info they are getting is necessarily correct though.  I'm fine with more player empowerment, but I think some of these changes are actually bad for them.  It's easy to recruit as the unknown against the known.
