Logan isn't super close to the LDS epicenter in Salt Lake, but it ain't far either. That'll get you canned real quick in that state.

That didn't sound right, so I looked it up.

Cache County which contains Logan is 74% LDS, the State of Utah as a whole is 64% LDS, while Salt Lake County is only 49% LDS.

I grew up hating eggnog, all I'd ever had was the storebought kind.
I always loved it when I was around 10 I drank so much New Years Eve I was laughing at the earth. We have this Creamery up this way that makes Custard Nog .Never recalled having it until this week. It'll be my go to now, have my coffee with eggnog every day during the Holidays

Eggs go bad,so why not Eggnog unless it's frozen(just curious) and what's "vertical"?The opposite of Fearless at a Sharkwater TailGate?

Well it has a ton of booze in it, maybe that's why?

A "vertical" is a reference to a thing craft-beer drinkers do.  For beers that age well, you put back at least one per year, of the same style.  So you might get a 2017 Russian Imperial Stout and save it, then you buy the 2018 version from the same brewery and save it, then the  2019 version, and finally in 2020, you buy the current offering.  Then you open them all, pour them side by side, and sample then sequentially.  The point is to see how the age has affected the beer.

I was kind of joking about doing it with eggnog, since there's only two years' worth, but it is interesting to compare them side by side.

When I cook it, I dial in the pit at 225, using pecan if I have some, otherwise post oak which I always have around.  I slather the outside in yellow  mustard and then apply the dry rub liberally.  The rub is the same as my pork spare rib rub, which is 1/2 Bolner's Fiesta Pork Rub, and 1/2 Montreal steak seasoning.  Smoke at 225 until internal temp reaches ~140, which is somewhere between 1-2 hours typically, obviously depends on the size of the tender.
HA!We can agree on one thing Montreal Steak Seasoning and I used some Mrs Dash in a rub.I did this 1st

But then substituted the rub for the marinade.Either way,no waiting and juicy as can be. 😎

I've never tried eggnog. At least not since I was a youngling. I bought some this year, and some brandy to go along with it. But I haven't been brave enough to pull the trigger.
It's gross.

if it was actually good, people would drink it year-round.

I think it's just logical that rural Utah is more LDS (religious) than urban Utah.  Logan is....not large.

The Utes are up 7-0 on undefeated Colorado, with a skiff of snow.

Nope. The county that contains Provo is densely populated, and it's quite a bit higher than Logan. 84%.

Trying to get into this Penn State-Michigan State game is so depressing. The bad football doesn't help, but the empty stands really take the atmosphere out of everything. Are we all really just confining ourselves to our own small domains, streaming Mandalorian and living for whatever original content Netflix pushes? This isn't as dire as the 2021 depicted by Philip K Dick in "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep" (Blade Runner), but, still...time to start posting photos of "my" Klonopin and Lexapro like all the Gen Z gals do across social media?

I've always loved store bought egg nog, but this year I'm finally gonna take a stab at making my own.
I thought I settled my debts that night on the ride home
But I have still got hell to pay

My guide says that Wisconsin-Iowa is supposed to be on FS1, but instead they are showing Minnesota-Nebraska.
