Iowa holds, then turns and scores, making this game a blowout. B1G should have listened to me about Iowa-OSU

Iowa up 28-7 on a long TD run; this after twice stuffing Wisconsin's drives inside the red zone. It's clear Iowa really studied Northwestern's success against the Badgers and game-planned accordingly by selling out to relentlessly stop the run and forcing Mertz to throw 35 times so far. Mertz can't shoulder a game, as especially evident by that last, awful interception in the endzone:

Not sure why, but I'm watching NC curb stomp some black and metallic orange team.

but ...

Herbie is saying that North Carolina will be the best ACC team not in the CFP (because Clemson and ND will both be there) and they will play highest non CFP B1G or SEC team. He projected that team to be Florida if they don't beat bama or A&M if Florida does win.

Sounds like ESPiN has completely forgot about the B1G.

Yes, everything is a conspiracy theory against you.
Don't be a snowflake.

On actual football news, I don't like what Mullen is doing.  it's like he feels bad for underhanded LSU.  We're playing A LOT of backups sprinkled throughout the team.  And we're just sitting Pitts out.
The bad news is that our OL and safeties are the starters and are sucking.  A bad OL frustrates me more than anything.....how can 6'5", 315 lb guys who bench 400 lbs suck so bad?

I think the secret we've learned about Herbie over the years is that he reacts a little extra spicy to what he sees at that exact moment. Like, he does some stuff well, but he gets swept up in what's happening at that exact moment. He'll say something weird and different tonigh.

The Big Ten question is interesting. We mostly agree OSU is the main name. The Bucks right now have a second-best win of 3-5 Rutgers or 3-5 PSU. They'll end up with wins against 6-2 NW and 7-1 or 6-2 IU. There's a case for it, boosted by what the think OSU is, a case against, given what 6-0 is and what the 6-0 is.

On the other hand, we don't decide for another week, so the picture will look different. We'll just have to see.

Army-Navy is showing what football was like in 1907.  Sheesh.
There's an irony that those teams are usually secretly better at offense than defense, but Army is goodish at defense this year and Navy is good at neither.

Wow, amazing. They had 47 combined attempts and five combined TD's. Combined average of 11.6 per carry. Miami's defense is certainly not what it once was.
