When you're in bed, and you're fully under the covers, and feeling WAY too warm and need relief...

How is it that just sticking one foot out of the covers seems to immediately fix it?

Seems like that's not enough time for your body to actually start to cool due to the effects of your heart pumping blood through your now-exposed foot. Is it a mental thing?

In 2026, what's the optimal way to buy a used car? I.e. to find a quality car and get a passable price...

I see as a couple of possible options:

  • Dealer CPO. Advantage is that in any certified pre-owned you may get some level of confidence that it's a good vehicle. Many came off leases where they were regularly serviced by said dealership and come with some level of warranty. Downside is that some of what I'm looking at has very little inventory for CPO, much of it not local to me. Another downside is the whole "used car haggle" process which is annoying.
  • Carmax. From what I understand, the advantage of Carmax is that they also have a pretty stringent review process. Cars that they purchase that pass the process end up on the lot; anything that doesn't make the cut gets auctioned off. However I think getting access to the factory warranty may be dependent on specific brands and terms of those brands on transfer...
  • Costco Auto. This is more about a potential no-haggle deal, i.e. it might actually identify some CPO (or dealer non-CPO) vehicles. But I'm not sure if Costco pricing is actually a "good" deal or if it's something that one could easily get a price down below that.

It should be obvious, I hate this process lol. I've used both Carmax and Costco previously, and I'm at least comfortable with them...

bought my last used car at a dealer - probably paid a little more but was more confident I'd get a solid car.

driven it almost 120,000 miles with no major issues

On this treadmill screen below, does anybody have any idea what MOVE is? Never seen this value before except on the treadmills at the gym down the street. I've tried asking google, but google thinks I'm asking how to pack up and move exercise equipment from one address to another.

@CatsbyAZ reverse image search suggests that treadmill is made by Technogym. Here's an article on MOVEs:

https://www.technogym.com/en-US/support/post/discover-moves-and-movergy/

It's not much, but it might give you more if you want to dig into it in google to determine exactly what MOVEs are...
