It's not as if the Sooners edged Bama in quadruple OT, they smacked them around 24-3, it was astounding.
Sooners are kind of like Michigan, they've had a legit defense all season.....just god forsaken atrocious offense and QB play.

That defense really slapped Milroe around. Milroe went 11/26 and threw 3 picks with a QBR of 15.4. Hard for any team to win when the QB is just killing you like that. Milroe is an amazing athlete playing QB. He's very boom or bust in the passing game. Kid has a lot of arm strength but he really only throws the deep ball well. Every other throw in the arsenal he's mediocre to flat out bad at. Never really bought the hype on him as a #1 overall draft pick or even a 1st rd pick. He's an impressively built big strong freaky athlete but his passing is just....not good.

All I've said about IU is that they'd have a much worse record w/ an SEC schedule.  They're in the playoff.  I don't think that's even a discussion.

I also just happen to think it'll be a brief stay.

Hoosiers have a chance at the #5 seed if Oregon wins vs the Buckeyes

you are 100% correct. they had a very soft schedule. their OOC schedule was a joke they played basically all FCS crap. they got handled vs the one top ranked team they played- Ohio State, they avoided Oregon & Penn State, the other top ranked teams in the conference, and oh yeah they also avoided Illinois- the only other currently ranked B1G team outside of IU/OSU/Oregon/PSU. They probably should've lost at home to a crappy Michigan team if not for Sherrone Moore beefing it, and they also avoided USC, Iowa, and Minnesota...the not quite as bad as their records indicate pesky teams in the conference.

Indiana has a heckuva coach and they've overachieved like a motherfucker this year but that is in large part because of the super soft schedule. They just don't have THE DUDES that will be future NFL draft picks like the other top ranked teams do- and you're correct- they're going to get bounced early in the playoff if they make it because of that fact.

Not sure they'd have a worse record with Texas's schedule

That would be epic, especially if #12 ended up beating them.  I enjoy mayhem and crisis and disaster.  So, you get only 3 SEC teams into the Dance, and the top rated B1G team goes down to a bottom seed.    I get ahead of myself of course.

We can't be entirely sure about such hypotheticals.  We just surmise, hypothesis, noodle, suspect, have a hunch, kick it around ...

Why is that?
Because I've watched both Texas and IU play this year, and I don't think IU would be winning the "close" games that Texas has.  As has been stated, they look like a 15-20ish kind of team.  Texas is much closer to Ohio State and Oregon, than to Indiana.  And we saw what Ohio State did to them.

Just my opinion of course, but I'm comfortable with it.
