Porterhouse, grilled asparagus and baked potatoes today.  Blueberry pie for the finish.
That's how ya do it!

Buddy is coming by to help carry the groceries for thanksgiving dinner (hernia surgery recovery recommendation)

He's a huge sports fan and beer fan, we'll watch football and drink Yuengling, Sam's Octoberfest, Chew Bocka Greman-style Dopplebock from Confluence and whatever he picks up at the grocery

I've got some leftover wings from Wednesday and other snacks

Jesus.  That's why PU is 1-9.  Wide open.  Dropped.
1-10.

Wonder how much longer Ryan Walters lasts. Not looking like head coach material but damn I'd hire him as a DC in a NY minute.

Generally the worst weekend to visit the grocery store.     So many two timers and amateurs.

Try the stromboli at Four Kegs Sports Pub
best thing about the place is it's a neighborhood dive way off the strip

276 N Jones Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89107
a Triple D place from way back in 2011 or 12

food is average at best
Now that's a recommendation

Wow, a couple of Ohioans singing praises for Michigan pizza.  Who'd a thunk it?

I agree though, Jets is tasty.
Jets is probably the best fast food pizza I've found. Coincidentally a lot of the big fast food pizza chains are from Michigan. Little Caesars, Dominos, Hungry Howies. Jets is by far the best of the bunch, the rest taste like card board.

Michigan has two exceptional pizza joints both in Detroit. The OG Buddy's on 6 mile and conant and Supino's in the Eastern Market. Not every Buddy's is good- there are so many of them now- but that OG in Detroit is always on point. Supino's was AMAZING then the owner got too big for his britches started doing other shit wasn't around and quality fell off and it sucked for awhile- then he started being there constantly running it all the time again and it made a comeback. Very good again but not quite what it used to be- when it was humming along it was top tier- rivaled even Lucali's in Brooklyn.

I would pass on just about any other option in favor of In and Out.  Last time I was in Dallas I went there twice in four days
best fast food burger joint I've ever had....but the fries suck.

I wanted to go early.
Early last week or early this morning.
Feeding 7 so I need a 16lb bird
not supposed to be lifting that much, better to wait for help and wade into the shitshow late this morning

connoisseurs of fast food???  Geez

Perhaps RFK can make a small dent in the fast food business problem

why eat fast food burgers and fries when you can sit down at the rail of your local pub and enjoy a hand smashed patty and a pint of the good stuff?

same with pizza or other fast food options

probably a lot less salt and other bad things in your food

The In-n-Out on the north side of LAX has salvaged my sanity more than once after a 4 hour flight from MSP.

Our old house used to be a mile from the first Jets in the Twin Cities market. Cottage Inn is also good pizza in SE Mich. I make a killer Detroit pizza from scratch that I've posted pictures of her.

Brisk morning here on the East River Flats, but not as cold as it will be this time next week. Cedar, the puppy, will be paying the tailgate a visit.

This is only the second tailgate since October 7. I really hope next year's schedule isn't as front loaded as this one was.

Also, the homemade Detroit pizza is from the first Zingermans cookbook. 10/10, would recommend.

I do miss me some Buddies. My fav of all time.   I try to get some when I go back to Michigan to visit family and friends- couple times a year.
