The No. 11 Nebraska volleyball team's regular-season home finale with Rutgers scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 20 has been canceled due to non-COVID related illnesses within the Scarlet Knights' program, it was announced Thursday.

The decision was reached based on guidance from RU's medical staff out of an abundance of caution surrounding the health and safety of participants from both programs. In alignment with Big Ten forfeiture policies, the match will be recorded as a loss for Rutgers, and Nebraska will be credited with a win in the Big Ten standings.

Ticket holders will be refunded for tickets and parking purchased for the canceled match. Refunds will be issued by the Nebraska Athletic Ticket Office at the conclusion of the season.

I did confirm and learn this is the lowest hitting percentage Nebraska team since they have kept records (1983).   They played pretty doggone well tonight, sweeping Penn St.  Service pressure was beautiful.   Hord was taken out of the match.     With the Rutgers forfeit, not that they would threaten Minn or N this weekend,, leaves next weekend to decide the conference.  At this point down to Nebraska, Wisconsin, Purdue and Minnesota.  A cluster of matches between the four between this Sunday and next weekend.

they are not a bad team obviously, but they are no where near the level they were a few seasons ago

They have two elite AA level players in Hord and Parker, I just see a team that isn't very good in Serve, Serve receive.   Still a quality team but doesn't seem FF claiber.   Of course I don't think Nebraska is FF caliber either.

that's why the 2nd set comeback and the sweep makes me feel like Penn State has really slipped
