don't forget Pitt/Miami

I don't always root for Pitt, but when I do, it's against the Canes!

Thanksgiving has past, aye it has.... let us, one and all, preserve this thread by altering it's subject ever so slightly?

what in the hell do you guys do with all the leftovers?
Most of the time I don't have many leftovers but since this year it was just three of us, I have plenty of turkey- so today is hot turkey sandwiches and any leftover turkey from there will be put into the crock pot with broth and homemade egg noodles for turkey soup that I can serve tomorrow or freeze.  I go with the classics of something quick and easy so I can just kick back and relax watching my football or catching up on recorded TV shows (this year it is season six of Longmire on Netflix).  Luckily, I figured the rest of the meal pretty close and don't have any other leftovers to deal with; just the turkey, so that's good.  Taking the time to make homemade bread for the hot turkey sandwiches later today when my husband gets home from work and that's as much cooking as I have planned for today.
I know that you believe you understand what you think I said,
but I am not sure you realize what you heard is not what I meant.  Anonymous

I'm making risotto on Sunday with the leftover dark meat and also mushrooms, and a truffle finish.

I'll take that under advisement.  :86:

i've purchased and building "TailgatePitBoss.com", where everything you could need for cooking outside will be found- to include ingredients from spices/rubs/sauces to meats or organic sides all the way to camping grills to tow behind grills and tools/utensils...

and I'll be leaning hard on you guys and your inventiveness/experience for write ups... it's going to be part of this family/enterprise that funds the direction we want this site to go.

My brother in law cooked the birds on his Trager grill yesterday, I took all the bones and made a turkey stock last night. Now I have like 2 1/2 liters of it. Handing out some to neighbors who I know will use it for soup. I'm going to use some for a play on ham and bean soup.  The Turkey had a little smoked flavor on the Trager, plus the brine, it should be good.
