BBQ turkey and duck turned out awesome.  I saved all the smoked duck fat drippings, I'll likely include them in a batch of enchilada gravy somewhere down the line...

There is quite a bit of meat left. It's going into buffalo Turkey dip for Saturday.

Anyone else ever brought pie to a tailgate?
buffalo turkey dip goes with beer and booze - perfect for a tailgate

pie doesn't

I've never thought about taking a pie to a tailgate

I don't need the cream cheese or the sour cream with my chicken and buffalo sauce, but I'd sample some if it was on the table

The buffalo turkey dip turned out quite well. Could have stayed in longer to cook down some of the tissue in the  tougher pieces.

As for the pies, the only thing we brought back were the empty pie plates.

I'm not surprised the pies didn't make it home!

Glad you asked.
