Checking scores and it appears that aTm was a bit overrated to start the year.

Looks like clanga-clanga over Mizzou

Also, where has this Gopher club been all year? Running 5 yards a shot, and leading 24-10 after 3?!

You're totally ignoring development.  There's a sliding scale of winning games and developing players for the next level.  Few players, but still.
Cheesing the game and putting your best athlete at QB might win games, but it's not helping anyone looking to play QB in college.

A QB I want to see can be any kid with a big arm and is able to develop with game reps.  They don't grow on trees, but I have the sunlight and rain they need every day at practice.

I understand how we got here, I'm just disagreeing that it's good for the game.  They're playing street ball out there under the guise of RPO.  Hey, maybe it's the best strategy for success, but so is the BB-K-HR plan for batters in baseball.  It's not a fun thing to watch, imo.

Why bother with coaching if you stick your best athlete at QB and he takes off if the 1st WR isn't open?  Just start that in Pop Warner and never progress beyond it.
Cool.
You're not wrong.

You just sometimes don't understand that your Platonic ideal for football doesn't always survive the meat grinder of Coach Whatshisnuts who is trying to keep his job by any means necessary.

Ultimately the sport will evolve in some ways we don't love.

I understand it, I just question the wisdom of it.

HCs have replaced slow guys who maybe make bad decisions with fast guys who don't make any decisions other than when to take off running.

It's just weird that this might be the historical arc of good passing:

From CBS

- The Ducks averaged 7.4 yards per snap, and they scored on seven of their nine drives.

- The Trojans have lost five straight to their former Pac-12 rivals, last beating Oregon in 2016.

- The Ducks haven’t lost two games in September since 2016, and they’ve never lost a Big Ten road game.

- Oregon is 3-0 against USC during the parallel tenures of Lanning and Riley.

- USC's defensive problems under Riley and his third coordinator, Gary Patterson, are just as unsightly as they were back in 2022.

Bryce is not the problem with this team. The head coach is checked out…

Yes. Everytime the camera zoomed in on Whittingham yesterday afternoon, he looked 5 O’Clock Somewhere Else:

UW fans are biding their time as well.  I think most of them want Fickell to work out, but if he can't get them to a bowl they may be the favorites to land Eck as he has direct ties to the state.
He played OL for Barry. He IS a Badger.

It always Nebraska.  I dont get why they consistently get the best whistle in the conference.

Ive never had complaints about officiating against UM, OSU, or PSU.  But somehow the conference carries all the water for Nebraska
I didn't see the game and haven't watched any highlights yet

evey husker fan I know would disagree with this assessment

Weren't they playing in East Lansing yesterday???

I was hoping the Huskers finally played a good game but the injuries really had to help
Penalties - UNL 7-60 MSU 5-60 - should the huskers had a bunch more and Sparty had fewer?
