These terrorist events here fortunately are Big News because they are relatively rare and it generally is innocent people impacted.

The US has 3 million Muslims (about).  Imagine half a million of them were devoted to suicidal attacks.  Things would be enormously, intolerably worse.  Imagine 5,000 were.
