Yeah, I've seen early designs before and thought "Yuck" and then later started to like them.  However, design itself is low on my list of priorties.  There have been a few half decent makes I wouldn't buy because they are too ugly, Pontiac Aztec comes to mind.

The Tucson design looks pretty odd to me, but might be OK.

A stock 1970 Chevrolet Nova Super Sport equipped with the high-output L78 396 cubic-inch big-block engine (375 hp) ran the quarter-mile in roughly 13.87 seconds at around 105 mph when tested by automotive magazines like Hot Rod when new.

I had the 350 cubic-inch / 300 hp (Small Block): ~14.7 seconds @ 95–98 mph

My 73 Nova had 185 HP SAE Net.  I think 0-60 was around 8.5 seconds.  I don't recall the quarter, probably 15 ish.  Automatic transmission.

yup, after 70 things started to come down on HP, 73 was the real big drop

bought a 73 El Camino after I totalled the Nova at the local drag strip

the stock 350 had been rebuilt with headers, glass packs, high rise intake manifold, holley carb, 4-speed and 12 bolt posi rear end

it was quicker than the Nova

I just built this Stingray on the configurator  - just a street car - same motor and tranny

Grand Sport = a track car - more money
