I'm glad to have a Mercedes. Some old F**k pulled out right in front of me yesterday, I was moving at about 50 MPH or so (the speed limit in the area shown below). I had just a few car lengths to slow down, and between me and the reaction of the car, I was able to - without any skid marks.

Had I hit him with my tank, he'd have been toast in his little POS Kia.

My wife and I would have walked away unscathed.

Anyway, it made me grumpy that I had to see his shitty NJ license plate up so close.

In the 1982 film 48 Hrs., Eddie Murphy's character, Reggie Hammond, drives a black Porsche 356 Speedster, which was actually a replica built by CMC (Classic Motor Carriage). The car is a central element in the film, featured in several scenes, including one where it is retrieved from a parking garage.

that's not a car
It's not an SUV either.

It's a 2026 E450 Wagon. You can also get an AMG E53 version.

Correct - a replica and you can still order them today.

I like the name, "All-terrain" better than Wagon and/or SUV and/or ATV or whatever
but, I'd guess it's not much good on some terrain

I think of those Caddys as luxury, not sporty. Removing the top doesn't turn them into sports cars. That said, and as I've noted, my view of Caddys may be insufficiently informed.
