I hope the 63 is better than the 550. We rented one on a recent travel to see if we liked it and I was really not a fan AT ALL. The technology side was great, but the driving side was less than ideal. We rented a wagoneer the following week in Naples and really enjoyed how that drove so much better. The inside had far less tech than the MB, but the driving experience was better and that's what matters to me most.. I don't need 5 screens in my face to drive a car.
I rented a Wagoneer as well.   Liked it so much I bought one.   Love it.  Especially the Hurricane High Output twin turbo 3L 6 cylinder with 540HP

Sort of an interesting hypothetical here, you have $200 K to spend on a vehicle, to be your daily driver, you can't buy a Yaris and pocket the difference ...
A  stupendously absurd comment with an unreasonable conclusion

As most of our driving is around town, I want something small, and I've grown to accept the SUV concept for easy of egress, and ingress too.

I don't want $200 K for a car, for one thing insurance costs would be ... higher, so I guess I'll stick with the Tucson.  I don't feel any need to accelerate faster, it's pretty comfortable and quiet, and has ventilated seats.

You're the one that set up this damned thought experiment! :96:

And I think the thought experiment is that you've got $200K for a car, so you can also afford the insurance, gas costs, maintenance, etc. That's the point of this thought experiment. Practicality (in that sense) be damned. The only limit of "practicality" was that it has to be your daily driver.

Yeah, that was me.  I was idly musing about it whilst staining my wife's table out on the deck, they she brought me another small folding table to stain.  Then I replaced a sliding glass door handle, this place has an amazing number of sliding glass doors and they all have pretty ratty door handles.  One was completely shot.  The lock worked fine until I installed it.

So for me, I'd go with a Macan S, I think, it's larger than I like, but not supersized.  I'd leave $100 thou on the table.

As to CD's inquiry a 1996 Toyota 4Runner Limited came with a 3.4-liter V6 engine plenty of H.P. and Torque.

Need a luxury cruise - it had it,need balls to get a boat in/out - it had that too.I'd purchase one new today if they still made them like that.Drove straight thru from Cleveland to L'ville for a Wedding and still wanted to keep going

this would also work very well - although I'd be leaving about $50K on the table

Yeah, I would be all over that were I youngerish, I'd get the six speed.  The CTS we had had serious problems with its 35 profile run flat tires, they would never survive around here.

I'd probably still go for a 911 if I would get in and out easier.

Perhaps another one. Sadly, I'd be leaving $840 on the table the way I kitted it out...
