This may belong on the unpopular opinions thread, but after driving Old Rusty last week, I'm questioning how interested I remain in having any "classic" car. Modern cars (and trucks) just drive so much better. The point of the classic is how it looks, sounds, and feels, but the feel is...generally pretty crappy. That's not to say other people shouldn't have the classic cars. Of course they should if that's what they are into. I just think I'm no longer into it. I will continue to enjoy looking--kinda like at beautiful younger women with whom I would have a very little in common, but are very nice to look at.
Dad is 82, so in a few years I will probably have the responsibility to sell Old Rusty because I won't want to own it. That will be emotional, but will be the right thing to do. Someone will love it, and I'll love the memories.
