Literally I was briefly seeing like sparkles from the neck snap from being completely stopped and my ball cap landed behind the rear head rests on the back deck by the speakers.I'm sure I used similar adjectives in rapid succession

Oh yeah I hear ya.  I had some neck issues as well and the insurance paid me as much as they paid me for the car, for my health issues.  Luckily it never developed into anything further.

And that money then got me my 1983 Fox-body Mustang convertible, so I was okay with it all.

The ZR1X lapped the 'Ring in 6:49.275 while the nonhybrid ZR1 set a time of 6:50.763, both with Chevy development drivers behind the wheel.

Three judges spotted it first overall, while the other three awarded it their second-place scores. (Five points were allotted to the best handler, one to the worst. Ties were allowed.)

That 1984 Camaro suspension was ... rudimentary.  Tires also were far inferior to current.

This may belong on the unpopular opinions thread, but after driving Old Rusty last week, I'm questioning how interested I remain in having any "classic" car. Modern cars (and trucks) just drive so much better. The point of the classic is how it looks, sounds, and feels, but the feel is...generally pretty crappy. That's not to say other people shouldn't have the classic cars. Of course they should if that's what they are into. I just think I'm no longer into it. I will continue to enjoy looking--kinda like at beautiful younger women with whom I would have a very little in common, but are very nice to look at.

Dad is 82, so in a few years I will probably have the responsibility to sell Old Rusty because I won't want to own it. That will be emotional, but will be the right thing to do. Someone will love it, and I'll love the memories.
