Actually no.   The C53 AMG would be the comparison- since this is a comparison of 6 cylinder cars.   The 63 is a V-8 beast- and a hell of a car.   But it is a bigger class.  Having just owned one, comparing it to the CT4- V Blackwing is mars and Venus. 

And the comparison that CDawg posted above does not surprise me.  Car and driver keeps giving the black wing a 10 out of 10 on their grading scale, which is unheard of and it was named sedan of the year multiple years in a row.   The ride and handling balance, which generally require opposite mechanical pieces, maybe the best I’ve ever experienced, And why it might be the favorite of all the cars I’ve ever owned

Those muscle cars were nice in some respects, but a nice one today would be very expensive obviously.

But most weren't that fast, handled and braked poorly, and consumed gas with alacrity.  They also needed frequent maintenance.

For me, having a manual transmission option in such a car is pivotal, even if it's a bit slower.

If I were interested, I'd go for the CT4  V BW.  I do dislike their naming wobbles.

I'd note the opinions of C&D writers are of course just that, any of us can easily prefer another model that they don't like quite a much.  The AWD feature could be strongly preferred up north.

Like the Benz-branded CLE450, the CLE53 comes with a turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six that's assisted by a 48-volt hybrid system. But here this powertrain is tuned up from 375 horsepower to 443 with an increase in turbo boost pressure and reworked engine internals. A nine-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive are both standard.

A kind of vehicle I miss a bit in my dottage is something really comfortable and nice inside.  Cadillac used to make them, and Lincoln, and then Lexus, I guess the exist, probably a bit pricey.  I don't really need "cornering" that much.  

The Tuscon is very quiet at speed which is a large comfort aspect.  The interior of course is pretty meh.
