A modern Viper, obviously an actual Viper decades old won't match a current Corvette at all.  I don't think Stellantis has the technology today.

But, I could be wrong, maybe they'd make a killer Viper, I'm sure it would have a lot of horsepower.  There is more to a car than raw power of course, and the Vettes today can generate enormous numbers as well.

Dodge Viper 0-60 Times

3.45 seconds and 11.60 in the quarter, to the extent raw acceleration matters.

Well, the latest Viper as 2017. 645 HP, 600 torque. That would hang with a 2017 ZO6.

No, it wouldn't, not on a track, not in pure acceleration.  I suppose for flat out acceleration you could argue it's kind of close, 2.6 seconds to 3.3. seconds 0-60.   The key is engine placement.

The thing about the Viper is that all are the same powerplant and HP/torque - no matter the trim.

The 1963 Chrysler Turbine Car was a bold experiment in gas turbine technology. Today, we're showcasing a fascinating concept car: the AMC AM Van. This futuristic-looking vehicle, based on the AMC Pacer platform, explored the possibilities of a compact and versatile van. The AM Van, with its distinctive styling and unique features like the circular side windows, captured the imagination of car enthusiasts in the 1970s. While it never reached production, the AM Van remains a testament to AMC's innovative spirit. A glimpse into the "what could have been" of automotive design!

The Javelin was under appreciated in its time, I think, never really caught on.  Needed a movie.

I'd opine the Pontiac Aztek takes the cake for ugliest recently produced in numbers vehicle.  It's a pitty because it had some decent features, it was just ugly.

Not in a good way.

Agree 100% with both of those points.  Aztec was truly hideous.

I like the idea of a Javelin movie, since Mustang took Steve McQueen and Pontiac went a little glam with Burt Reynolds, maybe somebody like Harvey Keitel?  Some kind of really gritty, flawed anti-hero kinda thing.

You'd love the thing if it had been featured in a movie with Harvey Keitel! :)

I do think it looks somewhat like the Mustang II which was terrible, but it's a bit cooler.

The movie Vanishing Point was a kind of car movie, but I think it was a Charger.

Hmmm maybe we should try to name all of the "car movies" and the car they featured.

Bullitt-- Ford Mustang
Smokey and the Bandit -- Pontiac Trans Am
Vanishing Point - Dodge Challenger
Christine --  Plymouth Fury
Gone in 60 Seconds-- lots of cars but Eleanor was a Mustang
