@FearlessF I'm guessing it takes you forever to go through brakes on that thing? Years back we had an outside sales rep in NC that spent most of his days going between customer visits all through NC, mostly freeway driving. He said when he took the car in for service at 70,000 miles the mechanic told him the brakes looked brand new :57:

Freeway driving is obviously easiest on a lot of auto components.  One nice thing about a hybrid is the brakes should last nearly forever.  I hope.

One weird thing is that it gets better mpg around town than on the highway.  It doesn't like speed.

yup, I drive around 3,000 miles a month.

bought the car 4/1/2022 (30 months ago) with 37,700 miles

now have over 109,000

they check my brakes every 5,000 miles at oil change
They've not mentioned the brakes yet

I rotate the tires every 10 or 15,000.
I don't think the tires were brand new when I bought the car, but maybe

another salesman has the same 2017 Impala - got 80K outta the tires
I'm sure I could make that but not with winter weather coming

A thing about tires beyond wear is age.  The rubber does oxidize, and get harder, with less traction.  After around 7 years, they really start to lose grip and should be changed even if the tread is fine.  Some would claim 5 years, tire salesmen for example.

I'll have to watch that on the Jeep. But my current tires will probably be replaced by 35s in the spring, so I'll have to start the 7 year clock at that point...

You need tires.

I'd recommend Michelin V rated for that sports car.

My old van had a tendency to hydroplane so I got in the habit of changing tires perhaps too often.

Dry rot in tires is especially bad on something that sits.  I religiously change out my trailer tires before they hit 5 years.  Two friends have lost their RV trailers when their tires blew out traveling, both times at the 6 year mark.
