Vikings got a very talented, very young QB (he’s a true jr still only 20 I believe) without having to give up the deed to the house and the most physically gifted/talented edge rusher in the draft as well.

They won day one of the draft imo.

IMichigan had 13 players drafted. Couple short of Georgia’s record and 7 short of the 20 Jeem predicted before the season.

Thoughts: OL Karsen Barnhart probably should’ve been drafted in like the 5th or 6th round. He’s a really good player with position versatility and tough as nails. He’ll make an NFL roster as a UDFA and stick around as a guard with flexibility to kick out to RT in a pinch.

EDGE Braiden McGregor probably shouldn’t have left and neither should’ve OL Trente Jones. They both were in and out of the lineup and only ever part time starters. This would’ve been their year to fill into full-time starter roles and really level up and put an entire season on tape of starting and improve their draft stock. McGregor could’ve catapulted way up draft boards in 2025 with a big 2024 season. Physically he’s everything NFL teams look for at EDGE but he never had the college production to match like Hutchinson did.

This is why the B1G needs to get into Florida and Georgia.

Too late now. That should have happened in 1990 when UT wanted in.

Also, is that a one year anomaly, or is PA really slipping that much in football talent?

I'd also be curious as to how that is determined.  If you are a kid from Indiana, who plays his last 2 years at IMG, are you counted for Florida?

That's a good question.

JC Latham was from Wisconsin and then went to IMG for his last two years and blew up. Ended up at Bama. #7 overall pick.

JC Latham, IMG Academy, Offensive Tackle (247sports.com)

This says he's from Florida, but he's really not. Never showed any interest in going to Wisconsin. Never took a visit. Kinda weird.

agreed, but if you're looking at Georgia Tech to step into Georgia

SMU, Baylor and others are available to get a footprint into the lone star state

Hard pass on the remaining Texas schools.

GT would be a great addition to the academic consortium too. Their stadium would always be full. People like to go to Atlanta - especially that area. CDawg is right there too, as an attraction.

How big of a check does the ghost of Ann Richards need to write?

Who wants to visit Phil Niekro's washed up son throw knucklers like they're shot puts. Got arthritis in both elbows from bumping around the minors and resting them on wet bar tops. Moonlighting as some sort of chemist

After they took PSU and whiffed on ND, Delany and the Presidents put a moratorium on further expansion. That ruled out UT's interest/application being considered. Then they whiffed on ND again in 1999.

Big mistake not taking Texas when they were available.
