Watching the Oregon win, this "PAC is lesser" thing has another data point.
Bo Nix is an "I'm gonna carry you on my back" type of QB. Just in the way he's going to pass a lot and run a lot, so a high % of plays will run through him. Other guys have been that way, like Tebow and Cam and the like.
Watching Nix at Auburn, he had an obvious ceiling. I always said he was a guy who could carry you on his back, but only at the high school level. But against SEC defenses, he just wasn't good enough. A large % of overall plays would be through him, but he just wasn't productive enough, couldn't scramble away all the time, and wound up throwing wounded ducks while on the run from future NFLers.
Made sense.
But he transfers to Oregon.
Pooped the bed vs Georgia. An SEC team with a great defense. Then I remember back in his first game...he was able to lead a comeback vs Oregon. A non-SEC team.

Basically, if he can now be a DUDE in the PAC, then it's definitely a data point that the PAC is just not as good at football. Whether they're soft or less talented or simply culturally don't care as much about it, I don't know. But it's not on par with the SEC or B1G. You may be thinking "DUH, OAM," but I'm talking about actual evidence here.
Nix just went video-game style on an undefeated UCLA team (whether you were impressed by the Bruins or not, they had made it to the halfway point without losing).
.
Idk, just some thoughts.
