Michigan has played some clunkers at home at night vs a pair of lesser opponents.

Next Saturday in Happy Valley can’t come here fast enough. First real game Michigan will have played all year. Will be interesting to see how they handle that.
I like their chances. PSU is solid. Allar is getting better at going downfield.

But put all the noise aside- Michigan is as good and talented as any team, maybe more so.

Maybe USC should try calling defensive plays at random?  It couldn't be any worse.

2020 LSU's defense was probably the worst P5/upper half of P5 I'd ever seen, but this year's USC D is so bad, you can't call it D.....it's more like a big, loose P.
It's probably the worst defense I've ever seen of a non-hapless, non-have not type program.  Ever.

*EDIT
It is not the worst, statistically...yet.  BUT, they still have this game, @ Oregon, and UCLA left.
It will likely get shredded in 2 of 3 of those games, at best.

All things being equal and on paper- Michigan should win that game.

But it’s football, weird things happen and should wins don’t always become wins.

Michigan has basically been a 8th grade bully clobbering a bunch of disabled 3rd grade children. Sleeping walking through couple games and still winning them all by 25+ points.

Next week will be the first game all season they’ll face an actual team that can punch back. Michigan is a veteran team and should be able to handle adversity but man- 10th game of the season is a long time to actually have to do that for the first time. lol

While UW@USC is twelving, LSU's Jaylen Daniels in on pace for a 350 passing/250 yard rushing night @ Alabama.  Tied at 21.

Penix is gonna win the heisman but Daniels should be considered seriously. LSU is a sub 500 team without that guy.

Daniels has better numbers, but Penix has a big volume advantage...on everyone.  Plus UW can't run the ball for shit.

Yes.  UW had 161 yards rushing in the first half- but that’s because- as you pointed out- USCs defense is….  Generous.  😂

I do t know. If Daniels comes out of Tuscaloosa with a win tonight and just keeps playing the way he has- he might just get it.

If this was 2024, we may still have wound up with Air Force in the 12-team national championship playoff.  A team that lost to Army by 20 points.
Darn.  We're missing out.

Agreed.
I'll believe a west-coast Heisman winner when it happens.  Not before.

In 2018 Alabama won the championship despite finishing third in their own conference. Win some you lose some
