Does Michigan have any road games this year? 😂😂
yeah @Nebraska, @Minnesota, @MSU, @Penn State, and @Maryland.

@MSU is a night game vs a bitter in-state rival. That one is always a battle, even when Sparty is bad. And they are probably really bad this year.

@Penn State is obviously a really tough road game. Michigan catching a big break that it's a noon kick-off and not a white-out night game. those white-out night games are a completely different animal/environment for a visiting team.

@Maryland is a trickier road game then it appears because it's right after @Penn State and right before getting Ohio State for THE GAME at home. That's a nasty little sandwich look-ahead game.

Schedule sucks donkey d*ck this year, but that last 3 game stretch is gonna be a doozie.

Rutgers leads the Big Ten in rushing.  Rutgers is also #7 in the nation in scoring D and did not play cupcakes unlike Michigan with the #1 scoring D.
if Michigan gets CB Will Johnson and FS Rod Moore back this week, I don't see how Rutgers moves the ball at all on Michigan. Rutgers already can't pass as it is, and both those players are elite players in the B1G and the nation at their positions. JJ will have to just completely stink up the joint again and play like dirty unwashed asshole for the 2nd week in a row for Rutgers to even keep this one close imo.

Michigan DT Mason Graham is rumored to have an injured hand and will be out for a couple weeks.

also....Urbz should look at OSU's 2024 OOC schedule...lulz

Southern Miss - might be a decent game for a half if 54 year old Brett Favre has any remaining eligibility
Western Michigan
Marhsall - might be a decent game for a quarter if 46 year old Randy Moss has any remaining eligibility

OSU gets UCLA but is missing USC on that 2024 schedule and they don't play Wisconsin.

Michigan 2024 schedule? Texas OOC. @USC AND UCLA. Have to play Wisconsin as well. And have to play @Ohio State.

For as much shit as Michigan gets for their schedule this year- deservedly so- their schedule next year is fcking brutal and OSU's looks like a cupcake by comparison.

He is not and while I've laughed at Michigan's and Georgia's schedules I've tried to preface that with an acknowledgement that Ohio State has had some ridiculously weak schedules as well.

I think where Urban has a point is that it just looks REALLY bad that the top two teams in the sport have ridiculously weak schedules.  They both play their first road game on the last day of September.  Georgia fans will be wearing costumes when the Dawgs play their first ranked opponent as it doesn't happen until Halloween Weekend and Michigan's first ranked opponent isn't until Veteran's Day.  It just looks bad for the sport as a whole when the top two teams wait so long before playing any notable games.

I think a big part of it is something that I've complained about with CBB but exists here as well.  Most of our schools generally schedule one Marquee OOC opponent and then garbage for the other two (9 game league schedule) or three (8 game league schedule) OOC opponents.  The problem therein is that if your Marquee opponent happens to suck the year you play them or if that falls through for whatever reason there is NOTHING behind that.

MB he is a lying hypocrite(so is Booger) he has tried bullshitting people before and after his stop in C-Bus. Great recruiter and coach - when he's hungry. Wins it all he gets complacent  and  just talks either past or down to adults

My point is that irrespective of who said it and their hypocrisy or history of deceit, this point remains:
it just looks REALLY bad that the top two teams in the sport have ridiculously weak schedules.
It would be nice if we could clean that up but so long as the CFP is more-or-less just a list of teams sorted by fewest number of losses, the motivation is to do as Bill Snyder always did and simply "never schedule a loss".

Purdue's OOC is a great example.  From a fan interest perspective it should have been ideal.  They had three OOC games that all looked relatively even on paper and resulted in a one score loss, a one score win, and a 15-point loss in a relatively competitive game.  The thing is that nearly all of us here agreed that they were just basically stupid for scheduling like that because they get nothing for the decent SoS and now they head into league play at 1-2 and needing to go 5-4 in the B1G to qualify for a bowl.  If they had schedule an FCS team and two terrible FBS teams they'd be 3-0 and only needing to go 3-6 to qualify for a bowl.
