Who calls the Minn-Wisc game the border battle?  Even I know It's called the battle for the axe!
Nobody.

However, Minnie and UW do have a Border Battle trophy - played across all sports. The AXE game is worth 40 points.

The Illinois/NU thing is lame. Call it what it is (was)! It's The Tomahawk Trophy!!

A few years back the NFL took over T-day night, and now the networks don't want to put any college football up against it because they know their ratings will get blown out of the water.

They took over Thursday nights all season, which is why college stopped scheduling good Thursday games.  The antitrust exemption prevents them from playing Friday or Saturday games until after Thanksgiving, but says nothing about Thursday

I don't think there is any way UGA beats the Institute by 18 points tomorrow.  This is Tech's Super Bowl x 1000% every year. If the Techmites were to somehow beat the hated Dwags Behind the Bushes, all 4 women on the Tech campus would end up pregnant.  I look for Beck's  Butterfingers to drop at least4 catchable passes on 3rd down alone but the Red and Black to prevail 23-14.

They play for the Riverboat Overalls....not a trophy, an actual set of overalls.
