The powers that be at the Minnesota State High School League decided that there would be a shot clock in high school basketball in this state. While I was and remain opposed to the change, I am handling the rules as presented.

Doing the training for this got me thinking about football's play clock. It has always been a thing, but displays of this were added to stadiums in the NFL in 1976 and I presume college shortly thereafter.

Penn State is leading the league in plays run. Rutgers comes to town, and is second-to-last, with only Iowa running fewer plays. 

Q: How many passing and rushing attempts will Penn State and Rutgers generate?

I come up with the total number of plays by looking at the box score and add up the total number of passes and rushes. This is what I am looking for.
