How would we rate the QB's this season who are transfers?

I'd go with Fields at the top, so far.
Who are the transfers? What’s the list? Fields has looked impressive, but he’s played no one.

Does Burrows still count as a transfer? Cause I’d put him at #1 by a long shot if he does.

Sam did his part. He was phenomenal. He is an EXCELLENT QB and player. Some poor coaching decisions, receiver drops, sloppy OL play, and piss poor defensive tackling did the Horns in. Sam did everything and then some to win that game. He was legit.
I will agree the loss is NOT on Sam.

Horn's Big 12 defense was the cause
LSU's defense didn't look great either

I guess I'd have to do the research to find out who all the transfers are. Burrows still counts. So does Patterson.

There are many more out there.

LSU's SEC defense didn't look great either
FIFY.

I thought the key play in the game was in the 4th quarter when LSU--up by 5, I think--had 3rd and 17 from its own 39.  Many defenses in that situation would play prevent.  Texas blitzed and Burrow hit a wide open receiver down the left sideline who went on the score.  That made the gap 2 scores, and Texas never had the ball with a 1-score deficit after that.
Neither defense had much success getting stops over the last 20 minutes of the game.

If you had seen Austin Kendall--Kyler Murray's backup last year--play in it, you might not think that.

Agree 100%. I posted as such in this thread when it happened. DUMB play call by Texas DC/HC. Especially when Burrows was carving them up all game long vs man coverage. All you need is to prevent a 1st down there to get them to 4th down so they’d have to punt. Drop 7 or 8 and keep everything in front of you. Play zone and make Burrows make an unreal throw into tight windows to pick up 18+ for the 1st down.

The RB dropping a TD on 4th and goal from the 2 that hit him right in the hands boned Texas pretty hard too. Sam threw it right to him and he drops it wide open in the end zone. Texas got stopped twice on 4th and goals. Herman should’ve just taken the points both time and he’d have 6 and the game would’ve been a 1 point game.

Oh, I wanted to give a huge shout out to Syracuse for helping my case against the preseason top 25, and how utterly F'ing ridiculous it is to have one.

Not only did they predict the Terps would win today at home, they did it while not giving any votes or consideration to the Terrapins after their win last week against Howard.

Amazing how a top 25 team is expected to lose against the team not receiving any votes at all.

I guess it's there just for morons to believe team A "should beat" team B.
If polls were predictors at all, especially accurate predictors, college football would be no fun at all.

If you want to make a case against the preseason Top-25, the way to do it that does not encourage more Top-25s is easy. Do not care if you got votes after scoring 79 against a MEAC team. Do not care who is in the mix in the low 20s. Once you don't care about this silly things, then having one doesn't matter at all.

Yeah, we can't say that with any certainty.

When you're guaranteed a sample size of 12 (games, each), making big, sweeping statements after 2 games isn't a recipe for accuracy.  Ya know?
UNC is interesting for a few reasons. At the very least, they're not as bad as they could've been. Which is to say, they could've been 2-3 win bad, and they probably won't be that barring the sky falling on them.

Coming into the year, there was a tenuous case they could be good. They're 28th in star talent. While I don't trust Mack, Longo is an excellent OC and Bateman has a good rep at DC, even if it's slightly overblown. So you could align it, good coordinators take good talent and a top-100 recruit delivers as a freshman QB, you could have a good team with a solid record against a bad ACC slate.

Basically, the path to 8 wins isn't unpossible.
