It just was mediocre.  At least with Applebees I have low expectations.  

I’m not generally a fan of bar food.

It's true. Cincydawg avoided the Cincinnati Chili chains in favor of the one-offs, even though you wouldn't be able to tell the difference in a blind taste test.

I do prefer Blue Ash Chili but they have 3 locations now.

Italian Beef would potentially have two problems:


I had a proper Italian Beef in Chicago at Badger's house back in 07.  Was a to go order or delivery from a legit place.

I miss being able to walk to good eats when we lived at both places in Palatine. Closest place to us here is 2 miles away, here in the marina. Walkable sure, but when it's really hot out, not so much.
