Would you eat one of those giant snails pictured above?

It's okay.  Chewy and salty.

I had a deep fried escargot at Prhyme steakhouse in Tulsa about 2 1/2 years ago. It was fine.

I haven't had the traditional preparation since maybe my early teens. I'd give it another go without hesitation, but the opportunity hasn't arisen...

No, I might keep it as a pet though.

We walked over to a new place called Alici the other day for lunch, it claims to be an oyster bar.  It was OK. I can't remember if I already reviewed it.

The restaurant business is brutal, small differences in margins are life and death.  There are two small places near us that have almost zero business, they do some take out, rarely have diners inside.  I'm guessing they are laundries.  One is a burger place, we tried it once, it was OK.  In decent weather the owner/operator dude is usually sitting outside on a picnic table looking at his phone, nobody inside.  The other place is a Silverlake Ramen, named for the town near LA, it's a small chain, we like it pretty much.  They might have one other table occupied when we go, usually for lunch.

the hooters in Columbia was about half full last night

Monday and Wednesday special - buy 10 traditional wings, get 10 boneless wings for free.
3 of us at the bar ordered 10 traditional and told them to keep the chicken nuggets.

the bartender complained they don't have enuff staff and are overwhelmed on gamedays and other events.
they don't get time off because of short staff

the staff that was there last night looked pretty good to me

They come from Africa initially, but they have recently infiltrated Florida.

I'm sure folks would eat them in France.  And Louisiana.
