I'm just having fun with it like others do, messing with me.
I find it weird that people act like any big-monied interest group doesn't do everything in its power to remain relevant.
That's what it's about.  It has nothing to do with how I dislike or like eggs.

And the larger point is that the idea of 'breakfast food' is an odd suggestion.  A burger or spaghetti in the early AM is no different than in the PM.  Bacon is good, 24/7.  So is orange juice or scrambled eggs.

We invent these unnecessary walls between things.  I'm simply saying if there's no good reason for it, then why have those walls?  "Breakfast food" isn't a load-bearing wall.  So let's knock it out.
I know you're having fun with it.  I think it's funny, truly.

We all have our "things" and it's nothing to get bent out of shape about.  I despise pickles and all things cucumber.  Many (most?) people don't hate them like I do, and I get called out for it.  It's okay, the differences are what make life interesting.

I probably eat a pickle as often as I eat eggs.  Maybe like 2-3x a year.
Good connection, actually.

Imagine if a vast majority of people who eat breakfast always had a big, dill pickle every morning.  And here I go, on a college football board, questioning the need for such a tradition and suggesting (absurdly) that pickles are good any time of day.

Equally as silly, all the way around.  Many of you would post links and opinions supporting early AM pickle-eating, for whatever reason.  You'd ignore how cucumber farmers (grown for pickling) were bullied and preyed upon for being in the industry.  You'd argue that by way of being in the majority, that I was "weird" and wrong.

Same-same.

I mean, you're weird and wrong for a lot of reasons.  It ain't just the egg thing. :)

"Breakfast food" isn't time-limited. A lot of people make "BFD", or breakfast for dinner.

Heck, when I was in West Lafayette we had a late lunch at Triple XXX before leaving town for Chicago... My late lunch? Biscuits & gravy. It was delicious.

I want good BBQ 24/7, every day.

My wife calls it "shredded beef".

The below is shredded beef.  Shredded beef ain't ground beef.

Before my wife orders beef tartare, she asks whether the beef was ground or shredded with a knife.  Apparently it makes a difference, somehow.

The origins of this dish are apparently pretty odd having to do with Mongols (Tartars), maybe.

The origins of a lot of things we eat are often mysterious and/or odd.  Much of what we eat, say broccoli or corn, are not at all like what they once were.  Apples of course are also very changed from the "wild".  I think nuts are about the same.

Set a peanut on fire some time and get a sense of how many calories are in one.
