It would be weird to eat what you dislike. Others dislike things some of us like, and so forth. I mentioned a few items I can tolerate, but my wife really likes a lot, so I let her have all of it save maybe a bite, caviar, foie gras, ... she doesn't like popcorn, even the smell of it, which I find ridiculous, but means more for me.
We had a French fellow who visits pretty often over for dinner and I mistakenly made corn as one dish, it was good stuff, but he refused it, which I know is common for the French except my wife. I find it odd not to like good corn, but more for me.
When I was a kid I couldn't stand cheese, probably because what my Dad would buy was crappy cheese. But I digress.....
People were eating eggs for breakfast long before there was any Egg Lobby.
