I'm doing both weeks of baseball, again, We're headed to Orlando so I can run in better weather Jan. 2 and camp starts January 6-10, then I'm off recovering two days and the second camp is January 13-17.  So, we're up for some decent grub.
You could get a nice place for a good price on Siesta or Lido at that time of year.

This place is really great.

The Braves take care of me, it's only a Hampton Inn, but it's more than adequate, and "free".  Our stay in Orlando is also quasi-free.  It's a location well outside the hubub but the area is developing now, there is a Fogo da Chao nearby.  The place has a nice pool and gym and importantly a walking/running track around a lake on property.

We don't "do" anything in Orlando really.  No parks.  I'm going to try and get to a batting cage.

The drive back home is boring, and I'm generally pretty sore, so we stop pretty often.

I'm told the Braves are building a hotel at the park so we'll be shifting there next year I suspect.  Some of the guys stay at the on premise quarters the players use.  Then they stay up drinking late into the night, which isn't good for baseball the next day.  Some drag in pretty late, I can't manage that.

So last night we had the shrimp and crawfish fondue, raw oysters, and then I had the wild caught swordfish and jumbo crab, while my i s c & a aggie wife had the crispy skin redfish and jumbo crab.  All of it was quite tasty.  Servings were large, we brought plenty home for lunch today.

Casa Bovina is in Lincoln, NE.
·
How many layers of pasta did Chef use? 👀
Try our Lasagna Bianca made with toma mornay, broccolini, braised short rib, estate cipollini, ricotta.
A dish as rich in flavor as it is in layers.

I pan seared the Costco tuna, my wife said it was the best she'd ever had anywhere.  I thought it was terrific too.  I seasoned it with pepper and Borsari and some olive oil and hit them on a cast iron preheated.  I took the tuna out of the fridge about 1.5 hours ahead of time.  I hit hers about 2 minutes a side, mine about four, with the stove on 7.

I had the 6 free wings at Buffalo Wilds wings in Sewer Falls after golf.  (National Wing Day)

Traditional wings with Spicey Garlic sauce - a garden salad w/blue cheese and tots!

paired nicely with their own tall draw of Wild Herd beer

$14.18 included the $4 tip!

and put it on the boss's tab as an expense  (3% cash back on my Capital One Savor card)

I can't afford to retire

They have different blends, I like the original a lot.

Original Seasoning – Borsari Food Co.

Borsari’s Original Seasoning is pure sea salt that is infused with fresh basil, rosemary, garlic and balanced with ground pepper and nutmeg. The Original Seasoning is crafted in small batches and slowly cured after an age-old Bolognese recipe. Use the Original Seasoning for meats, poultry, vegetables, salads and sauces. It works perfectly for sautéing, roasting, pan-frying and grilling. Add it to soups and sauces as a corrective seasoning. The innovative stackable packaging saves countertop space creating a “tower of flavor” in a small footprint. Get ideas from our Original Seasoning Recipes for your next meal.
