Thinking about taking the boat here tomorrow. Need to call and ask about access. Lots of hurricanes since we've last been so the channel might be screwed up.

Northside Yacht Club is coming to your TV.

The funky, nautical-themed bar and grill nestled in Cincinnati's Northside neighborhood at 4231 Spring Grove Ave. makes its "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives" debut Aug. 29.

The eatery shared the news in an Instagram post, made July 31, of its feature in season 42, episode 4, of the Food Network show led by celebrity chef Guy Fieri. Under a photo of Fieri posing alongside staff, the bar wrote, "The rumors are true — (Guy Fieri) is coming to your favorite landlocked yacht club!"

In honor of its debut, the Northside joint is hosting a watch party complete with its beloved poutine and a batch of peanut butter spiked with Fieri's Santo Tequila.

The episode titled "Soup, Salad and Sorbet Spins" at FoodNetwork.com describes the Northside restaurant as "a funky joint with nautical flair ... platin' prime-time pulled pork poutine, mouthwatering mustard smash burgers, and savory sesame-ginger cauliflower wings."

I'd pay double for that lineup.

How much is the wine pairing?

Yeah something like that could cost twice that much.  I'd definitely do it.

Last night: https://www.carmelitaskitchen.com/ in Rancho Santa Margarita.

I ended up with the combo plate. Shredded beef enchilada with mole, crispy shredded beef taco, and a pork carnitas chile relleno. It was outstanding. Had a spicy margarita and then an IPA.

Yeah, I normally avoid combination plates at Mexican joints because too many of them seem addicted with the Taco Bell problem: "same four ingredients, but I'm the different shapes!"

But this was perfect. Great variety of flavors so the meal didn't end up as one note.
