If you don't drive much, 22 mpg is fine.  I imagine the Vette will get 28+ on the Interstate if the speed isn't excessive.

I imagine it's aerodynamics are pretty solid for speeds of 80mph

I still don't have 5,000 miles on it.

Didn't take it to Omaha this weekend for a golf trip with the fellas like last year

2025 Chevrolet Corvette Review, Pricing, and Specs

The Corvette earns EPA fuel economy ratings of 16 mpg city, 25 mpg highway, and 19 mpg combined. We subjected it to our 75-mph highway fuel-economy test and recorded 26 mpg, 1 mpg better than expected. The last generation—remember the Vette with the engine in the front?—managed a 27-mpg result in the same test. For more information about the Corvette's fuel economy, visit the EPA's website.

We usually grab lunch at a Culver's in North Port while waiting on our hotel room next door.  We go to Orlando a few days ahead of time so I can run in decent weather.  The drive to North Port for there is pretty easy in the AM I found.  My wife doesn't care for the drive to Orlando from here much.  I can get a nice condo in Orlando for nearly nothing in January.  It's across the street from a Portillo's, so the northern chains are invading.  I don't really like Portillo's much, it's "OK".

I take her to the new Fogo de Chao around the corner, she likes that place a lot.  I'm OK with it.

Portillo's is kickass.

I tried it twice, I think it's just not the kind of food I like.  My wife was much more negative, as in "Don't bring me back here."

I might like it better if it was 10°F outside.  Maybe.

We are back from the arts festival which has all these food trucks, I didn't see anything appealing, to me.  And it's crowded and hot and expensive.  We used to have food trucks in the 'hood every day, that ended with COVID I guess.  They were a novelty to me for a while.  One place offered a corn dog and fries for $14.  No drink.  No thanks.

Good to know.  Where we stay has a nice kitchen (and gas grills down below) so I could fix my own burgers easily enough.    I usually get some shrimp somewhere and boil them.  That's when I miss the induction, it takes forever to boil water otherwise.

I'm getting too picky about restaurants I guess.  Back in the day I thought the Sizzlin' was upscale eatin'.

I'm not a fan of Portillo's for hot dogs. Plenty of local dives in Chicago for that, and they're better, starting with this place.
