That's a really good deal for blue points.

I actually prefer gulf oysters over east coast or west coast oysters, and there's a place near me that sells them for $1/each from 11 AM - 6 PM every day.
What about Rocky Mountain oysters?

We had some good ones in Vancouver when visiting.  I have to listen to my wife telling me about how good they are in Brittany every time.  I've had oysters "off the boat" in Brittany, and they are fine, but to me, not something superbly different and excellent.  I like the ones we get in Hilton Head in season.  There is a place there with its own boats and beds.

West Coast (Washington) oysters are really good, but I agree with UTee on this. Can't beat Gulf of America oysters.

Today I'm taking the car for an oil change (the first four are "free").  I expect to have lunch nearby at this place, been once, it was unusual and very good, I thought:

Home - YGF Malatang

You pick a broth and then whatever ingredients you want in it, all sorts of stuff, and then pay on the weight.  A few minutes later your soup is delivered.  Our almost daughter in law suggested it to us and the four of us went.

Utee probably has had oysters in France and maybe a more refined pallette than mine.  I didn't find them exceptional, nor were they bad at all, very good, but tasted like oysters, to me.

We stayed with a couple in Brittany a while back and went to a dock one day to get them.  Beautiful weather that day so we had them on their deck which overlooks the ocean with a couple bottles of something good, maybe I was more interested in the wines.

My wife is really taken with Brittany, I'm less so, I prefer Provence.

Just took a look at that menu. Pretty $$$. And I don't like any restaurant that charges for sauces. Hard pass.

Yup I've had oysters in France, they're good, but agree they're not something above and beyond.

Also agree that although I really like the people and the history of Brittany, I prefer the culture, terrain, cuisine, and wine, of Provence.
