I'm doing both weeks of baseball, again, We're headed to Orlando so I can run in better weather Jan. 2 and camp starts January 6-10, then I'm off recovering two days and the second camp is January 13-17.  So, we're up for some decent grub.
You could get a nice place for a good price on Siesta or Lido at that time of year.

This place is really great.

The Braves take care of me, it's only a Hampton Inn, but it's more than adequate, and "free".  Our stay in Orlando is also quasi-free.  It's a location well outside the hubub but the area is developing now, there is a Fogo da Chao nearby.  The place has a nice pool and gym and importantly a walking/running track around a lake on property.

We don't "do" anything in Orlando really.  No parks.  I'm going to try and get to a batting cage.

The drive back home is boring, and I'm generally pretty sore, so we stop pretty often.

I'm told the Braves are building a hotel at the park so we'll be shifting there next year I suspect.  Some of the guys stay at the on premise quarters the players use.  Then they stay up drinking late into the night, which isn't good for baseball the next day.  Some drag in pretty late, I can't manage that.

So last night we had the shrimp and crawfish fondue, raw oysters, and then I had the wild caught swordfish and jumbo crab, while my i s c & a aggie wife had the crispy skin redfish and jumbo crab.  All of it was quite tasty.  Servings were large, we brought plenty home for lunch today.
