Week 3 takes us back to Big Ten country for this week's outing. When playing at Faurot Field in Columbia, the Mizzou Tigers have a long and sordid history of seeing players in their games carted off with season and career-ending non-contact knee injuries due to the crappy surface. And it didn't matter what the surface was, either. Be it grass, OmniTurf, FieldTurf, or the parking lot, it ALWAYS happened.
As for the sod at Ross-Ade Stadium, site of this week's game with the Purdue Boilermakers? Well, a couple of years ago, it was
literally eaten up by a broken water main.
The Boilers better hope their field slows down Mizzou. Sure it's against two tomato cans, but they've put up 396 YPG in the air.
