So interesting that CFP commitee thinks PSU is #4 in the country and I am still debating with myself if PSU is even better than Wisconsin.

Part of me stil wants to put Wisconsin at #2 even though I ended up putting Wiscy at #3 behind PSU.  I guess the games this Saturday will help give me clarity
So far Penn State and Wisconsin only have two common opponents and Wisconsin did better against both:
  • Wisconsin beat Michigan by 21, Penn State beat them by 7.
  • Wisconsin beat MSU by 38, Penn State beat them by 21.

Between now and the end of the season they will add four more common opponents:
  • On 11/9 Wisconsin will play Iowa, Penn State already beat Iowa by 5
  • On 11/23 PSU will play Ohio State, Wisconsin already lost to the Buckeyes by 31
  • On 11/23 Wisconsin will play Purdue, Penn State already beat Purdue by 28
  • On 11/30 Wisconsin will play Minnesota, Penn State will play them on 11/9

1) Ohio State: unless PSU proves differently.
2) Penn State: for now, undefeated with quality wins gets them this spot.
3) Wisconsin: head to head over Michigan, and it's not as though it was close--but better be ready this weekend, or the start of the season will be forgotten in the ash heap of history.
4) Michigan: looking like what its fans expected before the season.
5) Iowa: with a chance to move up--and Wisconsin down--this weekend.
6) Michigan State: its conference losses are to the top three teams in the conference. Shouldn't be dinged too much for that.
7) Minnesota: unbeaten and on a nice little roll (against bad teams).
8) Illinois: best win among the remainder.
9) Indiana: looks legitimately ok.
10) Purdue: signs of life in win.
11) Nebraska: head-to-head over Northwestern.
12) Northwestern: not good.
13) Maryland: really not good.
14) Rutgers: Rutgers.
And one of those bad teams that Minnesota steamrolled beat your third ranked team.

I added in @Badger1969 's vote but it didn't change the order so no new update.

It seems #1 and #14 are very obvious.  Then there is another group around 2-6 that isn't, and another 7-12 that isn't.  UMd is probably a clear #13.
