Just got the news that my sister-in-law will be removed from life support this evening. She has been in ICU with Covid and intubated since last Friday. They are pumping 100% oxygen into her lungs and her Oxygen levels just keep dropping. My brother is driving from Rapid City where they live to Sioux Falls and will be allowed to be in the room with her for a few minutes before they unplug her. We just saw her last month when we finally got together to bury my mom's ashes (she passed in Feb) and she was so happy that my brother had completed his alcohol rehab and things were looking up for them. Then Covid happened.
Please, everyone, take care of you and yours. Wear your masks (she very seldom wore hers as South Dakota did not mandate it) and practice social distancing. There has to be an end in sight sometime.
