We just bought my son a nice, new turnable for his 17th birthday.  I had to explain those things to him.  But I'm just happy and proud he's interested in vinyl and "the old ways."

Same-same, I got one as a gift also,as I had never bought CDs as i so much on vinyl.Use to make my own cassettes - like doing that. All that after crossing  the prarie states in my Schooner

I listen to records in our Vinyl Parlor almost every evening these days.  It's very relaxing.  I'm reading more now, too, because it's a great library room as well.
