But yeah, any IQ test I've taken during the course of my life has put me in the 135-145 range.

I dimly recall some "IQ test", Stanford maybe?  I was told it maxed out at 140.  I'd guess you'd need a special test for folks above 120 or so to be very good.

I think I've taken 3-4 IQ tests and I dimly recall a low of 122 and a high of 129? I'm pretty smart. I know plenty of people smarter.

SFGopher tested very high--above 130--the one time he took one.

I've met enough folks I thought were smarter than me to be pretty humble about it, of course, humility is one of my many great traits.

My neighbor here is a retired physics professor from Tech, PhD Harvard, postdo Oxford.  I have zero understanding of his research field, he doesn't talk about it.

There are two PhD economics professors down the hall, nice folks, he's from Georgia, she's from Mass.  The other Georgia, which is not what they call it.

My experience with folks who bandy about their IQ number is they aren't very smart, usually.

The only one I've taken administered by "people who know what they're doing" (supposedly) was when I would've the one from elementary school when I was placed in G/T.  If they told me the score, I don't remember it and wouldn't have known what to do with it.  

I dug around online for the EBRP G/T requirements in 1986 and turned up some records.  I'm skeptical.  The IQ requirement was higher than what I'd expect to be the threshold, and frankly I just don't think I'm as bright as that minimum.  

Entirely possible the info I dug up is faulty.  IQ also fluctuates over time, so also I potentially I maxed out at a young age.  

I've taken a number of tests online in my adult life out of curiosity.  I can't think they're very reliable.  Interestingly, my score has been consistent across those tests.  And also lower than the supposed minimum threshold I found for G/T kids in my childhood school system.  

Somewhat jokingly (but also kinda not?), I've always said that I've known many people smarter than me, and many people not as smart as me.  I meet them in about equal numbers, it seems.  Ergo, I conclude I am perfectly average with an IQ of 100.

Are they talking about the Yellowstone Caldera going kaboom? I also saw a show about that--seems to happen every 600-700 thousand years, and the last one (according to Wiki) was ~631,000 years ago. So it's "due" lol.

But my takeaway from that show is that an eruption of that magnitude would be pretty catastrophic for the entire western half of the US. IMHO far more impactful on CA than a big quake. 

So I'm gonna say this entire map/infographic is BS.
