That helmet ranking is...interesting. Everyone will always have opinions, but I couldn't tell you what, for example, Hawaii, San Diego State, or Tulane look like. I can remember some of theirs over the years, but pinpointing what is what? Nope, can't do it. And putting Oregon so high when Oregon changes lids so often? Questionable.

Anyway, I'm a sucker for the classics.

My guess is one of the most helmet advantaged teams is Ohio State, but they also tend to be really good.  Helmet can't get you past number one.

I think pollsters are more comfortable with putting teams like Notre Dame and Alabama 2-3-4-5-6 notches higher than the same team would be if they were ... Missouri.

Agree.

For overall unis, I admit I love Penn State's home unis and Texas' road-whites.  And though I absolutely despise admitting this and despise even more knowing it's the truth....I quite like Ole Miss' dark blue unis.  Their soft blues are awful and better represent the abominable team that they are.
